Yukie Yokoo
After graduating from the Bunka
Fukuso Gakuin, I worked for many years in the fashion world
of Tokyo as a buyer and a public relations officer, travelling
to Paris and Milano.
After an excessively stressful life I ended up in the emergency
ward, and I decided to take a one year holiday in Florence and
to stay permanently in Italy. I was then accepted in the roman
fashion design studio of Valentino Garavani where I worked with
enthusiasm and passion. After a 9 year experience in the main
company, I moved to Milano to work until 2002 as a free-lance
for the fashion designer Mosquino.
I chose to leave the fashion world for a new life dedicated
to friendly hospitality, an old dream that I wanted
to come true by opening a Bred & breakfast.
I loved the warm atmosphere in the homes of my friends when
I visited them, as well as the comfort of the small continental
hotels. It took me almost ten years to recreate in a similar
space the gentleness and the delicacy that one finds abroad.
At the same time I wished to receive my hosts according to my
own idea of Japanese hospitality.
Each room is individually decorated, the curtains and the cushions
are all hand-made, the ancient furniture and the lamps have
all been restored by myself, to make each bedroom unique, warm
and friendly.
I would like those who use them to feel at home in Rome.
